Did God commit genocide?

It was genocide.

Typically genocide is referring to killing a population based on race, nationality, religion, or any other amoral reasons. In this sense, no there was no genocide in the Bible. If genocide is defined as simply killing an entire population, then I agree such a genocide did occur. However, it was not based on any amoral reason, but based on judgment of sins, which is justifiable.
