I was thinking some more about the PoE. And in a sense, God has provided a way to remove all pain/evil if you look at the big picture. Let me explain.
Let P be the amount of time that a person experiences pain/evil on earth. The maximum it could be is 43800 days (120 years * 365 days).
Let H be the amount of time that same person is in heaven (where there is no evil or pain). And R is the ratio of the length of pain experienced to the length the person lives.
R = P / (P+H)
As H approaches infinity, R approaches 0. So, in the grand scheme of things, God has removed all evil/pain for those who choose to accept entrance to heaven.
